Christina Haack was birthed in Anaheim California on July 9, 1984. She started her career as a real estate agent after she graduated from college. She came across Tarek El Moussa while working in the industry of real estate. They had a great time up until 2008, when the stock market plunged and a lot of house flippers as well as real estate investors went under. Tarek El Moussa & Christina El Moussa nearly bankrupted by the crash in stocks in 2008. They had to move from an expensive home where they paid $6,000 per month to a smaller apartment which cost only $700. Their business, along with the general economy, recovered slowly. HGTV & Rise to Fame Tarek enlisted the help of a friend to create an audition tape to be used for the purposes of HGTV. It showed Tarek as well as Christina flipping a property from the beginning to the end. The tape ended up into the hands of executive at a production company called Pie Town Productions. These executives were infatuated with Tarek & Christina. The deal was signed by the couple with HGTV. Then, in April of 2013 "Flip of Flop", a reality show, premiered. Between 2013 and 2017, the series ran for 92 episodes over 7 seasons. On the show, Christina and Tarek would acquire properties, which are typically middle-income houses located in Orange County, and would follow up with several weeks making improvements so that they could sell the home in order to earn an income. Tarek's main focus is demolition and renovations, whereas Christina concentrates on design.
